It’s such an exciting time to be living in Glasgow. Not only has G-Town been voted one of the world’s friendliest cities, this year it will also play host to a range of fantastic events.
Grab your popcorn because first up is the Glasgow Film Festival which will screen over 200 features from mainstream films to ground-breaking art house experimentations.
In March The Glasgow International Comedy Festival will return with even more shows and laughs with comedians Mirana Hart, Sarah Millican, Fred MacAulay amongst some of the big names.
The Common Wealth Games will be held in April which will be showcasing 4,500 of the world’s finest athletes and it will be Scotland’s biggest ever sporting and cultural celebration.
Next up in May, Radio 1 have just announced that they are hosting their Big Weekend at Glasgow Green! Over 60,000 lucky music fans will be able to enjoy performances throughout the weekend from the 23rd to the 25th of May. So far Paolo Nutini and Rita Ora have been confirmed and we couldn’t be more excited! Keep checking back at Scotcampus.com for more information about the event.
