There’s nothing like an amazing candle to make a room feel warm and cosy. I always have at least one on in my house and I love discovering brands that are new to me. Flamingo Candles make fun and bright natural candles which are hand-poured in South Wales so I was really excited when I was given the chance to try out one of their products. After spending a good hour drooling over all the unusual and amazing scents on their website (including Pink Lemonade and Coconut Lemongrass), I opted to go for their classic square candle in Black Raspberry and Vanilla (£12).
As expected, the Black Raspberry and Vanilla candle smells sweet, rich and fruity (it also contains hints of strawberry, musk, jasmine and sandal) and the scent fills the room amazingly well when the candle is lit. I read on their website that each candle is made with an impressive 10% fragrance ratio and, due to how intense mine smells, I’m not surprised by this at all. I’ve burned it every night since I got it (over a week ago) and it doesn’t look like it’s been used at all so I’m hoping it will last for a very long time.
Flamingo candles are both ethical and organic as their wax is made from soybeans and they each have a natural cotton wick. They come in lovely thick glass jars and are each embossed with the brands signature 3D flamingo, which I absolutely love! My candle is grey but many of them are really bright and I think they’d be perfect for adding a quirky pop of colour to a bedroom or bathroom. I adore the look of their Tropical Coconut Milk and Honey candle (it’s bright yellow!) and I think I’ll be buying that one next.
