She may have cancelled her annual Halloween party due to the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, but Heidi Klum will forever be the Queen of Halloween!
Tweeting a picture of herself from rain-lashed New York, Heidi said, “Hope you & your loved ones are safe after the storm. Canceling [sic] my Halloween party…postponing to a haunted Christmas.”
The German supermodel had previously posted a sneak peek of her costume for Halloween 2012 on her website, in a video which showed her being fitted for an elaborate Cleopatra costume, after asking costume designer Martin Izquierdo for something “Big. Gold. Glittery.”
Despite Heidi cancelling her hosting duties at the grand opening of Finale nightclub on New York’s Lower East Side, we thought we’d take a look back at our all-time favourite Klum costumes… her dressing up box is the stuff dreams are made of!
Heidi’s costume last year might just be our favourite Halloween get up by anyone, ever! The blonde bombshell was wheeled into Tao nightclub, Las Vegas, by two blood-splattered doctors as she lay on a trolley in her dead body costume. The outfit, which was made to look like Klum had her top layer of skin ripped off, was definitely her goriest choice to date.
Hindu Goddess Kali
Back in 2008, Heidi caused controversy when her Kali costume upset America’s leading Hindus, who felt she had a “selfish agenda” when she dressed up as the Hindu Goddess. However, you can’t deny her commitment to Halloween, extra limbs and all.
Heidi donned stilts to her Halloween party in 2010, when she dressed as an 8ft tall alien transformer, complete with thick purple glitter face paint. Then-husband Seal accompanied her dressed as the Silver Surfer.
Being eight months pregnant didn’t stop Heidi from celebrating Halloween 2006; she hosted her seventh annual party at Privelege club in Los Angeles wearing her biblical-inspired Snake/Eve’s Apple costume. That’s one way to hide a blossoming baby bump!
