Wave a rainbow flag and feel proud to be in Scotland, as yesterday the Parliament finally passed the Equal Marriage Bill. This makes us the 17th country worldwide to legislate same-sex marriage, following on from England and Wales last year. Votes in favour of the move came at a landslide of 105 to 18. Husband and wife are becoming egalitarian concepts. With the first ceremonies due to take place in autumn, cue civil partners queuing up for ‘upgrades’ and a certain romance for LGBTs this Valentine’s Day. We are living in the future, people!
