Endless rows of beautifully displayed products, models walking around showing the work of talented makeup artists, and thousands of beauty lovers generally going crazy. Welcome to IMATS London 2013.
Last weekend, the International Makeup Artist Trade Show arrived in London, welcoming beauty addicts from across the country to enjoy a two-day frenzy of all things makeup and beauty. Attendees had the opportunity to browse through hundreds of makeup stands like NARS, Makeup Forever and Crown Brushes, and take advantage of the amazing discounts on offer.
In addition to being the ultimate beauty shopping heaven, talks and workshops were offered across both days, by renowned makeup artists like MAC’s Director of Artistry for the UK and Ireland, Terry Barber, and famous YouTubers like Vivianna from ViviannaDoesMakeup and Ruth Crilly from AModelRecommends. The seminars and chats provided makeup enthusiasts like me with an insight into the rich world of beauty. The opportunity to learn from masters in the field was absolutely priceless.
The highlight of my day was probably the NARS counter offering 60% off all items. Granted they only had a selected assortment, but you could still find many cult favorites, like the Albatross highlighter and limited edition eyeshadow palettes. I was clearly not the only one obsessing over NARS’ goodies considering I had to wait over an hour in line to pay, but it was all worth it! I got five NARS products for just under £50. Score!
The International Makeup Artist Trade Show travels through many different cities, including New York and Sydney, as well as London of course. Check out their official website for details and dates for future shows and start planning your trip to the next IMATS. I’ll see you then!
