Rita Ora proudly left GLAMOUR magazine’s tenth annual Women of the Year Awards in London on Tuesday night with the award for Best Solo Artist, spilling details of what we can expect from her next album on the way. “The new album is definitely pop, I love my pop music,” she said. “But it’s kind of got that soul that I loved growing up, so you’re going to hear a lot more soul in there.”
The artist recently hinted that some of her new songs are about a “really shitty relationship” she had last year, which got us thinking about her past relationship with Rob Kardashian, that ended with Rob bashing the singer on Twitter. Now, is Rita thinking about pulling a Taylor Swift?
In addition to releasing a new album, confirmation has been made that Rita is collaborating with rapper Iggy Azalea, on the Australian artist’s debut album. Iggy supported Rita Ora on her recent tour and the pair both performed at the Gucci Sound of Change concert last weekend.
Before the album arrives, Rita is set to release her third single ‘Facemelt’. A remix version of the music video was unveiled in May, featuring her best friend and supermodel Cara Delevingne. With Jessie J and Leona Lewis also releasing albums later this year, it looks like 2013 is going to be a big one for UK pop music.
