It may come as no surprise that when it comes to fashion, Scotland have got it in the bag. So when Scotland Re:Designed decided to host a fashion show it was to be expected that the turn out would be spectacular.
Lets start with arrival. SWG3 is as hipster as you can get. With blue hanging lights and that bare but cool look, you knew you were in for a treat. Prosecco in hand, the audience made their way to the catwalk. A simple and basic runway that screamed cool. And then the music started.
Looking up and down the front row there were journalists, designers and fashionistas lining the front row. Not to mention all the other rows. When the room turned black and the pink and red imagery hit the screen everyone applauded and then came the models.
Every model had the most beautiful make-up with a natural face and big bold glittery eyes by Sarah Hills Make-up. But we all know a fashion show is nothing without the clothes.
From Rebecca Torres to Isolated heroes and KelyDawnRiot to Silken Favours, there was a mass burst of colour brightening the monochrome room. With a massive range accessories and fashion, whether it be hats, swimwear or a fabulous coat – the catwalk showcased a bit of everything.
The main thing that caught my eye, and my breath, which I just can’t stop thinking about is the pom-pom jacket by Cat Brothers. The colours brightened the catwalk straight away with some full coloured balls and some textured. The jacket had a mixture of bright and cosy – although not ideal in the rainy weather.
