Confession time: I’ve never really had the Monday blues. Never got TGIF or Hump Day either, which I think comes from working irregular hours and being a mid-week shopper more than anything else. Either way, I suppose it’s nice to have a re-set button and Mondays seem to do nicely. My weekend was mostly spent being a laptop zombie (which has become a regular thing since setting up business with my main girl Betty Swollocks) taking breaks to hit up the Scottish Designer Sample Sale (where I spent ALL my money, not some of it…ALL OF IT), watching Doctor Who and interment snuggles with my cat Lula Fortune. So it’s nice to be back in the swing of things and around people again, and quite frankly there are worse ways to kick off the week than a day in the Pretavoir offices before heading to a book launch at Lush (it’s okay, I’m still baffled about this one too.)
Going for some bid’ness casual I decided to crack out some old faithfuls. My Cos striped long sleeved tee is a total classic and even though I’ve worn it to death it’s yet to meet with a bobbly fate. Paired with a black skirt from H&M, some River Island loafers and a statement necklace from Next (who are nailing it with their jewellery by the way….who knew?). I also managed to hit up the Scottish Designer pop up sale at the weekend and score myself a Karen Mabon scarf. I’ve been a massive fan of hers for a long time and nearly had a wee gret in Princess Square when she pulled out a sample of my beloved (and sold out) Midnight Feast scarf which features a trio of adorable wee foxes having a party. SORTED. I’ve topped this off with a pair of Miu Miu cat eyes from Pretavoir. We’ve just had a big old delivery of these bad boys in the office. Already got my eye on a pair of the pink beauties! I’m really looking forward to this book launch at Lush tonight as I am pretty much going in blind, but I LOVE everything Lush does, and I’m extra excited after hearing they are launching a Snow Fairy perfume! Tomorrow it’s off to Edinburgh to work with somewhereto_,who are preparing for a pop up department store. Also a – DIY Christmas wrapping workshop? Sign a sister up!
