I have a meeting in town today so my look is verging on the ‘business smart’ side of things, with my own playful touch…obviously.
For today I’ve chosen my vintage paint splatter blouse which I picked up last year from The £10 Thrift Store on Great Western Road. I love that place, and this crazy little thing is one of my favourite purchases. I love how it nods to the current pop art and painterly print trends, as seen at Prada, Chanel and Celine.
I teamed it with a pastel blue vintage 1960s skirt I found on ebay for a few quid, which I pulled in with a black and gold chain waist belt. I added my Kate Moss for Topshop cropped leather biker jacket and my new boots, which I adore! I just got them last week from River Island and I want to wear them with EVERYTHING! I love the contrast sporty white heels and soles and the little metal touches. They are so comfy and easy to walk in – perfect today for when I ultimately get tempted into a shop, or ten. All for research purposes, of course!
I accessorised with my treasured gold fairy necklace and vintage gold star earrings – clip-ons as my ears don’t like things going through them. All those amazing, huge bling-tastic earrings in the shops at the moment just taunt me. River Island have a fantastic selection right now. If some lovely jewellery designer out there could make me some crazy-awesome clip-on earrings that I can wear all day without wanting to cry, I’ll be your best pal and love you forever and ever! I finished off my look with Mac lipstick in ‘Dangerous’ – matte, bold and eye catching (as if the bright ginger hair wasn’t enough!)
