With Glasgow being the second biggest city for shopping in the country (second only to London) it’s no surprise that the shoppers here need some refreshments after a long day on the high street. We’ve trawled our way through Glasgow’s best cocktail bars to give you the scoop on where to refuel. You can thank us later (or buy us something nice at the shops…)
27 Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow G1 3AJ
The Social Glasgow is situated in Glasgow’s a Royal Exchange Square, and is proud to sit nestled amongst a selection of great shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The bar offers a wide range of meals to sink your teeth into. However the stand out on the menu are the cocktails. From Mojito to Cosmopolitan to Daiquiris and so much more. This places is a haven for students cities over.
If you’re thinking of venturing into the Glasgow’s Merchant City for the day you HAVE to check out The Riding Room. Situated on the corner of Wilson Street and Verginia Street, this is the place to be seen if you’re in the area. This quirky and vibrant little cocktail/cabaret bar does some amazing cocktails in a range of prices. We suggest you try the ‘Candy Overkill’ – a cocktail consisting of, Absolut Raspberry, Chambord, Butterscotch Schnapps, fresh lime, cranberry juice & candyfloss…it’s like being in a Katy Perry video.
Leave the hustle and bustle of the city centre and venture west where you will find yourself in Glasgow’s “arty” district. Glasgow’s West End is jam packed with little bars, cafes and vintage shops. Don’t leave without visiting The Lane Vinyl Bar. This bar, conveniently situated next to the Grosvenor Cinema if you want to catch a movie, is great for drinks before you hit the town. This bar has an adventurous selection of drinks to choose from at any budget. At only £3 a classic cocktail for Student Recommended App holders Mon-Thurs – there’s always a some pennies left over for just one more!
This cocktail bar knows what it’s doing when it comes to making a drink. Classified as Glasgow’s most popular and well established cocktail bar, you can enjoy a night of live music while sipping on the bars title named signature cocktail the ‘Blue Dog’. With a baby grand piano situated in the corner providing entertainment for everyone, this bar is the place to be for a either a relaxed night or the start of a wild one.
The Corinthian Club

Last but by no means least, we have the Corinthian Club. Look up glitzy and glamorous in the dictionary and you’ll find The Corinthian Club. This place is perfect no matter what you want to do. Eat, drink (obviously), gamble and dancing, this place really does it all. With their signature cocktail being the ‘Club Cocktail’, a fabulous mix of Ketel One Vodka, Xante Pear Cognac, Chambord and raspberries. And with cocktails starting from £5.25 everyone can enjoy the party.
