The coolest gadget of 2014 and 2013 is still the Oculus Rift which is a virtual reality headset for 3D gaming. It has unbelievable head tracking which lets you lean in and out and peer around walls in games. Currently the new prototype Crystal Cove is not available to the public yet but so far the reviews have all said that it is one of those products that will change everything. The only downside to them is that they are really big and chunky but we can look past that seeing as it lets us experience our favourite games in a brand new way!
The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro is the new answer to the iPad Air and the Surface 2. It takes the best parts of Windows 8 and it has a magazine style interface. It even includes the Note 3’s stylus which makes the tablet fun to interact with and easy to write on. What more could you want from a tablet?
On our list of 2014 top gadgets is actually not a gadget but rather an online streaming service for Playstation gamers who wish to play their PS3 games on their PS4. The Playstation Now can even stream to your PS Vita and to some Sony Bravia TV’s. Pretty cool huh? At least we won’t have to worry about not being able to play all our old games anymore.
Next on our list is Pebble Steel which are smartwatches that channel the styling of classic men’s watches and they even added a few new optimized apps to them. The leather and aluminium straps look and feel fantastic and it will keep strangers from staring at your wrist whilst you walk down the street like the Samsung Galaxy Gear which just looks like a mini smart phone attached to your wrist. Sadly they have not made any to channel the classic stylings of women’s watches but hopefully this will happen soon.
Finally we have the Sony 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector. The projector sits on the floor and fires upwards during your blank wall into a huge 147-inch 4K screen. It is like having a home cinema without having to worry about all the cables and setting up a huge TV screen. Instead it has a sleek minimalist design that makes it look like a work of art. We can’t wait to get our hands on one, fingers crossed the price isn’t too high!
