If SAAS day has you feeling flash, upgrade your pre-drinks to a venue outside the flat and head to one of our top 5 pubs to indulge in a cocktail (or 3).
190 Bath Street Glasgow
This plush basement bar boasts a selection of promotional cocktails and premium beers that well and truly hit the spot. Indulge in a Sailor Jerry Daiquiri – a refreshing twist on the classic concoction. Transform your pre-drinks from trashy to classy, Saint Judes has an unforgettable vibe – you might even want to stay all night, from 11pm they host various club nights (recently sell-outs).
17 Vinicombe Street
Trendy and unlike anywhere else, Hillhead Bookclub is the ideal West End venue to kick off your night out. Sip on some £3 Strawberry Gin mojitos whilst playing table tennis or Connect Four. Why not eh?
Nice ‘n Sleazy
490 Sauchiehall Street
The long-running, eccentric venue is the trendiest amongst a selection of bars that line Sauchiehall Street. Quirky art work and 70s club decor make the experience a feast for your eyes as well as your liver – with an array cocktails and Bucky on tap, Sleazies is a real peach.
The Tiki Bar & Kitsch Inn
214 Bath Street
This tropical basement bar is a paradise for rum fans. Step inside the Hawaiian surroundings and leave the dreary Glasgow weather outside. Drinks are served in authentic Tiki cups, the bar specialises in rum and beer. Start the night (or end it – be careful) with the infamous Tiki Zombie, it may leave you in your very own oasis – so if you can’t handle your drink, grab an extra straw and share with a friend; I speak from experience.
The Record Faktory
17 Byres Road
The West-End hang-out (originally Faktory) has taken a new direction towards rock ‘n’ roll with an interior makeover to match. Stretch-out in the vintage inspired booths with a purse friendly pint or cocktail and if you get the chance, satisfy your appetite with their legendary chicken burger – it’s spectacular.
