To anyone else it’s downtown Philadelphia, but for us Scots in the know Glasgow’s George Square is the star attraction in the newly released trailer for Brad Pitt blockbuster World War Z.
The zombie action movie was partially filmed in Glasgow last summer, when George Square was transformed by American traffic lights and cop cars, creating a mini Philadelphia in the heart of the city.
Scotland’s female population came down with zombie fever during filming, with many of them clamouring to the World War Z set for a peek at Pitt- and who could blame them?
Playing United Nations worker Gerry Lane, Brad is the hero attempting to save the world from a zombie pandemic, by interviewing his way around the globe in the hope of finding a solution to the outbreak.
The film is based on Max Brooks’ novel of the same name, and is set for release on June 21st 2013.
